We are a unique kindergarten in Ostrava which connects the real cosy, family environment with professional facilities determined for upbringing and education of preschool children.
The motto of our nursery is: A healthy child = satisfied child = happy parents.
The nursery is surrounded by a big garden, and woods directly determined for healthy activities outside, in the open air.
Outside activities offer countlessly many possibilities for a child’s natural curiosity, experimentation, and exploring.
The direct contact with animals, care for one’s own garden, and activities in the garden and woods support a positive relationship of children to living and inanimate nature; children are taught to get to know it actively and protect it at the same time.
The sauna with halo- and aroma therapy, which we have built up, and healthy activities belong to a healthy lifestyle in which a health prevention and its support – especially concerning the children living in the industrial area with a negative influence on the air conditions participate a great deal.
The inside of the nursery is fashionably equipped, there are many gaming elements, nooks, and loads of didactic material for a harmonious development of your children.
The nursery is opened 12 hours per day (6–18:00); we offer several attendance options (regular and irregular), we are flexible and responsive to your needs. We accept children already from the age of 2.
The upbringing-educational process takes place in a small group of no more than 15 children (Kindergarten Rajská), or rather 9 children (Kindergarten Eldorádo), which offers space for an individual approach to every child. The group is taken care of by professional and enthusiastic teachers and nannies. The emphasis is put on the respect of the personality and the uniqueness of needs of every child.
A professional team creates the best conditions for your children’s education. Teachers prepare upbringing-educational plans, projects using Montessori pedagogy, and trends of modern pedagogy which are adjusted to children’s needs. The results of children’s development and teachers’ own work are kept in a well-arranged assessment.
Within the nursery focus, we try to shift as many activities as possible to natural conditions of the garden and nearby woods, thanks to which a child can spend more time in the fresh air, and explore the world in its natural form and shape.
We procure many activities for children’s healthy lifestyle and their versatile development:
- Motion activities in the natural terrain
- Outside yoga for children (in case of suitable outside conditions).
- Sauna with halo- and aromatherapy
- An ir cleaner in classes.
- A small farm – care of animals.
- Gardening – care of flowers, vegetable growing
- Active participation at placing eco-elements in the garden and woods (birdhouses, feeders, hedgehog covers, small ponds, butterfly farm, …)
- Outside experiments, art activities, observation, relaxing, sunbathing, water games.
- Excursions to nearby woods with a use of forest pedagogy principles and educational methods
- English taught in a playful way
We provide enough space for spontaneous activities and children’s experimentation, we prefer exploration by all the senses. We use various forms and methods to support children’s character development, e.g. experience learning, and activity and cooperative learning with a use of educational games.
